Our Mission

We exist to pursue the establishment of night and day prayer in the Tri-state region, ministering to the Lord Jesus in worship and intercession until the end of the age. From the place of intimacy with the heart of God, we partner with Him in worship and prayer to see the transformation of our region, nation, and the nations of the earth.

About HOPE

The House of Prayer Evansville was birthed in 2013 with the desire to see night and day prayer established in the Tri-State region.  We believe that Jesus not only is worthy of this outpouring of devotion, but that it is His desire to establish it on earth as it is in heaven (Revelation 4:8).  HOPE is part of the larger prayer movement the Lord initiated across the body of Christ globally in the 90’s.  While connected to many expressions of night and day prayer in decades past (see history of night and day prayer here), this resurgence  in the 90’s was initiated to prepare the body for His return and awaken  intercession for the greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit unto the fulfillment of the Great Commission.

HOPE has seen different expressions in the 9 years since its birthing, however, 3 core values have stood the test of time:

Intimacy:  Gazing upon the beautiful God and drawing near to know Him

Intercession:  partnering with Him in prayer to see the release of the desire of His heart in our region and nations

Israel:  continually praying for and blessing Israel as His covenant people

We believe all believers are invited into an intimate relationship with God, and as we grow near His heart in intimacy we pray in agreement with His desires to be established on earth.  One of the primary burdens He has revealed in scripture is to not keep silent until Jerusalem is established a praise in the earth (Isaiah 62:6-7), which is why through the shifting expressions we have always maintained a persistent time to intercede for God’s covenant people and land.
